El estilo de los “Tihuya Cats” se basa principalmente en el sonido de la música retro-americana, es decir, estilos y sonidos que tienen su inicio en la primera mitad del siglo 20 en Norte América combinando estilos diferentes como son el Blues, Boogie Woogie, Jump Blues, Swing, Country, Rock & Roll, Surf, Rockabilly, etc. e imprimiéndose de otros de carácter latino como son el Mambo, el Son y el Cha Cha Cha. Los temas de su repertorio están influenciados por el sonido más clásico del rock and roll (Big Mama Thorton, Elvis Presley, Collin Kids, Everly Brothers, Gene Vincento, Eddie Cochran), del rockabilly de los 80ś (por supuesto The Jets, Stray Cats, The Bugaloos, etc….), y del Rock’n’Roll en español (Los Teen Tops, Los Llopis, Bulldog, Rebeldes, Dúo Dinámico, Palmera…), e incorporan a su repertorio también temas propios y temas originales de autores como Huelyn Duvall, Carlos A. Del Bosque, Susy Rodríguez, entre otros, escritos especialmente para ellos. Tihuya Cats tiene un sonido distinto y novedoso de puro Rock’n’Roll.

The style of the “Tihuya Cats” is mainly based on the sounds of retro-American music. In other words, styles and sounds that were born in the first half of the 20th century in North America. They combine different styles like Blues, Boogie Woogie, Jump Blues, Swing, Country, Rock & Roll, Rockabilly etc. and incorporating some Latino sounds like Mambo, Son, and Cha Cha Cha. Their repertoire is mainly influenced by the biggest and most classic rock and roll sounds like Big Mama Thorton, Elvis Presley, Collin Kids, The Everly Brothers, Gene Vincento and Eddy Cochran. Also 80’s Rockabilly like The Jets, The Stray Cats The Bugaloos etc…They also delve into Spanish Rock and Roll like The Teen Tops, Los Llopis, Bulldog, Rebeldes, Duo Dinamico, Palmera etc… without forgetting their own creations and arrangements by authors such as Huelyn Duvall, Carlos A Del Bosque, Susy Rodriguez among others. Songs that were written specifically for them. The Tihuya Cats have a different and innovative sound of pure Rock and Roll!
